On Saturday, October 13th a very special event took place. The Knights of Columbus from Harrow, Ontario, along with the Harrow Rotary Club, the Harrow Firefighters, Harrow Kinsmen, Harrow Lions,
the Harrow Fairgrounds Association and many others hosted a Medieval Feast to raise funds for the Windsor Kiwanis Sunshine Point Camp. Located near Harrow, Ontario, the camp has been in operation for 65 years. Each year between 250-300 children attend a week long camping experience by the lake. The Windsor Kiwanis Club must raise approximately $130,000.00 each year to continue to operate the camp. This past spring a team of volunteers lead by Arlen Mifflin, son of Past Lt. Governor Al Mifflin made much needed repairs to the camp so that it could continue to operate and provide a wonderful experience for children. LG Bud Orr attended the Feast which raised $12,000.00 for the camp. This is a wonderful example of Service clubs helping a service club with a valued project such as Sunshine Point Camp!
