On April 15th, representatives from Divisions 3, 4, 5 and 6 came together in London, Ontario for their first official Regional meeting and luncheon to honour Governor Janet Atkinson Des Roches' visit to Division 3. Several guest speakers were in attendance that updated, informed and energized the members present. Special Guest speaker, Bonnie Kearns, from Sarnia, Ontario spoke to the group about "why do we volunteer". Bonnie is the recipient of the Red Cross's Highest Award in Canada for volunteers - The Order of the Red Cross. Bonnie has volunteered all over the world as a disaster relief nurse and had experienced many situations that we can only imagine. Bonnie has learned to meet each challenge with grace and humour which was quite evident in her presentation. She is full of energy and has a spark for life that is truly infectious! The meeting ended on a very positive, high note indeed! Thank you to all that attended and enjoyed the fellowship of Kiwanis!
