Chatham-Kent Aktion Club meeting

LG Bud Orr attended the Chatham-Kent Aktion Club meeting.
The following is a report regarding the activities the Aktion club members have participated in by Chatham-Kent Golden K liaison Rob Ralston.
Club Activities
-Chatham Santa Claus Parade  November 16th, 9 members participated in costume, total hours 18
-Salvation Army Kettles, 6 members participated, total hours 70
-Assisted with the packing of Christmas hampers for the needy for the Goodfellow's , 3 members participated , total hours 15
-Participation in the annual Community Living Christmas concert, 5 members participated, total hours 15
-Planting of fall bulbs for the Rotary on Keil Drive, 3 members participated, total hours 6
-Annual Christmas Food Drive, hampers delivered to the local Food Bank, participation by all members , total hours 30
- SORRY GOLDEN "K' YOU HAVE AGAIN LOSS THE CHALLENGE

-The Club also hosted Ridgetown Aktion Club at their annual Christmas Party

Donations since December lst-  Eliminate $100.00 , Local Food Bank $100.00

At todays meeting Lt Governor Bud Orr inducted new member Ryan Priebe, and Golden "K" President Cathy Telfer  led with the Objects of Kiwanis.


The Club approved a donation in the amount of $200.00 which will be used to update the Library Cafe at Community Living.

Upcoming events----- Annual Bowl-a-thon February 16th, funds utilized to send children to summer camp.  Community Living are hoping to raise $10,000. The Aktion Club hope to raise $1,000, and again this year are counting on participation from the Golden K'

Next Meeting   February 21st  Stewart Street  1.00 p.m.

KIWANIS ONE DAY PROJECT  MAY 16TH - details to follow

 
As shown, the Chatham-Kent Aktion club is a group to be taken very seriously.  They are a very active group indeed and keep the members of the Chatham-Kent Golden K club on their toes!
