Distinguished Club
Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent for recognition as a Distinguished Club for 2014-15.  Past President George Service will be forever known as Distinguished President and the members of the club have bragging rights to this honour.  This was achieved by showing a net growth in membership, completing leader training, participating in service projects and completing other expectations set out by the District.  We anticipate that there will be a number of clubs who qualify for the 2015-16 year.

Growth Incentive Program for 2014-2015
Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Windsor for being one of fourteen clubs in the District to succeed in the Growth Incentive Program for 2014-2015.  To quote Past Governor Serge Viau:
"All clubs on the list have achieved a growth of 15% or higher from October 1st, 2014 to September 30th, 2015 above the charter strength level of 15 members. They have also paid the club dues prior to December 31st, 2015. These clubs will receive the Governor’s centennial banner patch. The banner patch will be given to the Division LG at the Hamilton Convention in May.  Two convention registration fees up to $750 will be given to the clubs at the Hamilton Convention.  I want to congratulate all the winning clubs for achieving a net 15% growth for the 2014-2015 year. I encourage you to continue growing your club by asking individuals and corporations to join the movement.  We all know that new members for your club mean new ideas, new enthusiasm, greater fellowship and, most of all, greater service benefitting the children in your communities."

Windsor also received the "Al Mifflin Award" for 2014-15 which goes to the club in Division 3 with the highest net growth in membership.  this award has 'returned home' since the club donated the award in Mr Mifflin's name after he passed away while in the office of Lieutenant Governor.

100 Years of Service
To celebrate 100 Years of Kiwanis in Canada, the Chatham-Kent Club is donating 100 books to children in the community.  During a one-day gathering on March 14 at the Public Library, parents will bring in babies and children to choose a book suited to their interests.  Members will be on hand to celebrate with the children and to encourage family reading time.  Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent is serving the children of the community - one book at a time.

Division Caucus Meeting ~ April 9 - Kiwanis Kiosks
We are still looking for ideas and volunteers to present these 20 minute sessions on Kiwanis fellowship and service.  All members are encouraged to attend to learn more about best practices, share successful activities and brainstorm future plans.
