The Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent Golden K presented Kiwanis
Foundation of Canada Matching Scholarships to Brady Hakker and Ryan Nauta. Kiwanian
Dennis Myers (left) made the presentations with assistance from club President
Elect Eileen Richards (right). Brady, the grandson of club member Joy Moynahan,
has completed his first year at the University of Windsor where he hopes to be
accepted into law school to become a barrister at law. He has been active as a
volunteer with various community organizations. Ryan will be attending Western
University in London, Ontario, to study vocal performance. He was the 2013
recipient of the Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival Golden K Kiwanis Bowl, the
highest award for vocal. Ryan plans a career performing in concerts and musical
productions while teaching vocal music.
